Senior Talent Business Partner – Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria

About This Role

Senior Talent Business Partner will play a critical role within Youth Justice, bringing recruitment expertise to shape the future of Youth Justice and the wider Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). The position is a fixed‑term, 12‑month, full‑time opportunity within the Victorian Public Service, at VPS Grade 5 with a salary range of $113,022 – $136,747 plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment for Youth Justice Community roles, designing and implementing rolling recruitment models.
• Collaborate with department leaders to deliver innovative and strategic talent solutions that support organisational goals.
• Attend career events, mentor junior team members, and strengthen recruitment capability across the organisation.
• Provide guidance and support on all recruitment‑related matters, including attraction, selection, redeployment, and retention practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in strategic and operational recruitment delivery.
• Strong knowledge of the labour market and public sector recruitment frameworks.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to coach, influence, and build trusted partnerships across all levels.
• Prior recruitment experience in a rolling recruitment model and within a highly regulated environment is highly desirable.
• A qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a relevant discipline is desirable.
