Lockyer District High School is a secondary school located at Gatton. LDSHS has a proud history as a key educational provider in the Lockyer Valley.

As the Deputy Principal, you will work to improve the educational outcomes of students within the school, support the development and enhancement of teaching and learning quality, and foster positive relationships among students, teachers, the community, and stakeholders. The Deputy Principal has a pivotal role leading the whole school approach to pedagogy, and developing staff capability, as well as responsibility for Years 7 and 8 and transitions.

Responsibilities Include

• Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students
• Deputise for the Principal when required.
• Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
• Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
• Set high standards for student and staff performance.
