As the strategic guardian of financial integrity, the Head of Financial Control ensures SAPN stands on a solid financial foundation. Reporting to the CFO, this influential role safeguards the organisation’s financial reporting, tax compliance and internal controls, while aligning with owner agreements and corporate governance expectations. Acting as a key conduit between external auditors, owners and senior leaders, this role is central to delivering accurate, compliant and insightful financial stewardship. From balance sheet oversight and ESG reporting to leading finance systems optimisation and asset-related strategy, this is a pivotal leadership position that underpins operational excellence, guides informed decision-making and drives continuous financial improvement across the organisation.

A seasoned finance executive, preferably with a Big 4 pedigree, you have built a career in large, complex corporate environments. A qualified accountant, you bring deep technical expertise and commercial acumen to the table. Ideally, you have worked in a regulated business, such as utilities, infrastructure, or financial services and understand the rigour required to meet compliance, governance and stakeholder expectations. You’ve successfully led high-performing teams and know how to build capability, drive accountability and foster a strong culture. Confident with complexity, you’re a trusted advisor to Boards and senior executives, a natural influencer and a champion of transformation.
