Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with a track record in delivering projects involving water and/or wastewater treatment.

Bringing an appetite for building and maintaining strong client relationships and a passion for contributing to a high performing team, you will utilise your expertise to deliver complex and ambitious water & wastewater treatment projects for our clients in our Northern NSW region and nationally.

Playing a lead role, you’ll have a balance of technical work, design management, project management, operational support, business development, client engagement and support the continued growth of our team’s capabilities through mentoring.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver various and significant NSW, Australian and international water and wastewater treatment projects, by understanding clients’ needs
• Use your technical, project management and client relationship skills for the delivery and technical guidance of proposals, investigations and technical design projects
• Understand client and project technical requirements, assist in developing solutions and prepare technical reports, designs & specifications, client proposals and presentations
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, including business development and engagement throughout project delivery

What you will bring to the team

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, coupled with at least 8 years of experience in water or wastewater treatment process engineering, concept design and detailed design
• The ability to lead and/or work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team across the project lifecycle
• Strong client relationship skills, project management skills and experience in preparing winning proposals
• Design or planning skills in water or wastewater treatment, including process design, producing technical reports, developing engineering drawings, specifications and tender documentation for water or wastewater treatment infrastructure
• Experience with using process design software, with plant hydraulics experience highly desirable
• Project management or design management experience together with a willingness and ability to mentor and provide direction to junior staff
