Role

Our Melbourne Structural Section requires a motivated and passionate Senior Structural Engineer. You will lead projects, be client‑facing, and have the autonomy to manage projects from concept to construction and technical delivery.

Responsibilities

• Technical delivery of a wide range of structural projects including commercial buildings, residential developments, fit‑outs, aged care, and educational facilities.
• Work closely with a diverse client base, respond efficiently to client needs, attend meetings and inspections, act as the first point of contact for design coordination and reviews.
• Responsible for project costings, monitoring performance and budget, ensuring key dates are met and projects remain within budget.
• Assist junior team members in planning their project time each week.
• Mentor up‑and‑coming young engineers.
• Contribute to technical development across the Structural Section.
• Develop skills in business development, including proposal preparation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated years of experience as a Senior Structural Engineering Consultant in the Australian market.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, ideally CPEng certified.
• Proficiency in ETABS, RC Building, RAPT, SpaceGass highly valued.
• Experience delivering projects across residential, health, education, commercial, and industrial sectors.
• Accountable with strong goal‑setting and motivation for the team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong team ethic and ability to work collaboratively across functional groups.
• Financial management of projects internally is highly valued.
