EverAbility Group is committed to providing exceptional services and to support clients achieve their maximum ability. EverAbility is looking for a purpose-driven Chief Operating Officer to lead the strategy, operations and impact across its diverse services, including recreation, orientation and mobility, early intervention, technology, library services, as well as its well-known and respected Guide and Assistance Dog services. The role is critical to driving future growth and enhancing the value delivered to the community.
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across EverAbility’s client services. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role oversees the development, implementation, and management of the day-to-day operations to ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centred services while driving growth and innovation. The COO leads all aspects of clinical and services operations, ensuring financial sustainability and excellence in service outcomes. This position holds operational stewardship EverAbility’s well-known brands including VisAbility, Kites Children’s Therapy as well as Guide Dogs WA and Guide Dogs Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities
- As a member of executive team, you will play a key role in the formulisation, execution and achievement of strategic priorities and associated strategic plan.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement service initiatives which will drive growth for the organisation and enhanced outcomes for clients.
- Engage other members of the senior management team to facilitate cross-department collaboration that ensures that all program delivery positively support EverAbility’s evolving strategy and commercial requirements.
- Provide leadership across the organisation driving strategic organisational development and a high performing culture.
- Set and put in place internal controls that minimises risk and quickly identifies potential issues and impact.
- Operate programs within NDIS, IGDF and ADI funding & legislative guidelines.
- Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all programs and services.
- As part of the management team, lead the development and maintenance of a positive performance-based culture, focused on our clients.
- Positive working relationship with Chief Financial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Managers to deliver high quality care in a sustainable business model.
- Create, negotiate, and build effective relationships and rapport with the CEO, CFO, the management team and all associated staff.
- Take responsibility for sharing personal knowledge and skills across the organisation and provide training and mentoring when required.
- Complete all outlined tasks within the time frames required by EverAbility.
- Contribute to the development of the EverAbility team to meet its goals and objectives.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Registered Allied Health Professional.
- Previous executive management experience including financial and human resource management, ideally in health or related industry.
- Demonstrated success in driving change and achieving desired outcomes in highly regulated and complex environments.
- Demonstrated success in business development including the preparation and negotiating of funding submissions to maximise funding from external sources.
- Successful experience in ongoing management of funded contracts.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively consult, influence others and develop and deliver quality care services on time and to schedule.
- High level conceptual and problem-solving skills including organisational behaviour, change management, the ability to analyse evidence and provide strategic leadership and expert advice on policies, strategies and recommended solutions.
- Executive level ability to drive a value-based culture of collaboration and participation, setting high personal standards of cooperative and collaborative behaviour.
- Significant experience in managing key internal/external relationships and balancing competing and sensitive priorities.
- Experience in program reporting which includes internal, to the Board and contractual/ funding bodies.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellence in operational management with the ability to coach senior-level staff to manage and develop high-performance teams.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- National Police Clearance.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check
