The Traineeship

Community Solutions, in partnership with Sun Metals are excited to offer new multiple opportunities for Chemical Plant Operator Traineeships.

The successful candidates will work toward gaining Cert III in Process Plant Operations. High performing trainees will be given the opportunity to continue as full-time employees with Sun Metals on completion.

As part of a dedicated team, you will receive hands-on training and development, gaining practical experience in operating production equipment under specific guidelines and procedures. Youll be exposed to various commercial, industrial, and consumer products, while developing expertise in problem-solving and procedural knowledge in challenging conditions.

What will you bring to the role?

• An interest in working within a Refinery (classified as mining industry)
• A strong work ethic and ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts ( 4 on 4 off) prior shift work experience highly regarded.
• High level of Work Health and Safety understanding
• Manual handling experience alongside tool knowledge
• Reliability
• Must be able to pass a pre employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
• Drivers Licence essential due to refinery location and shift work hours
• Forklift ticket is advantageous
