Hussey Corp is a locally owned and operated business based in Cairns, QLD who deliver a wide range of services expanding from Heavy Industrial Electrical, Civil Construction, Construction Project Management, Civil Concrete Construction and Plant & Equipment Hire.

We are currently recruiting an Electrical Supervisor for various site locations across QLD and NT.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising a team up to 20 workers.
  • Co-ordinate with the Safety Manager to ensure all personnel are working safely. 
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing when required.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director, Operations Managers and project teams to ensure alignment on budgets and timelines.

Experience: 

  • Electrical Supervision background within the mining industry essential.
  • Demonstrated understanding of industrial electrical works.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
  • Effective planning ability, time management, and prioritisation.
  • Confident communication and ability to effectively liaise with other employees, clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
  • Computer literacy skills using MS packages including Excel & Projects.
  • Ability to supervise multi-disciplined workforce.
  • High attention to detail with a hands-on approach. 

Requirements: 

  • Valid QLD and NT Electrical Licence. 
  • Manual drivers licence (without any restrictions)
  • G189 & G2 Supervision Certificate
  • Current CPR/LVR Certificate
  • High Risk Licence - WP
  • Confined Spaces Certificate (valid for 3 years)
  • Working at Heights Certificate (valid for 3 years) 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and random drug & alcohol testing
  • Ability to undergo a National Police Clearance
