Property Insurance Claim Consultant

A well known insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Property Insurance Claims Consultant to join one of their Brisbane teams. This team is relatively new and rapidly expanding so there will be plenty of career grown opportunities for the right person. 

In this role you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of property and warranty claims through to settlement. Your position will be a mixture of complex and straight forward matters which you will take ownership of and see through to successful settlement. 

Your duties and responsibilities will include -

• Manage a portfolio of property, building and home warranty claims.
• Liaise with customers, loss adjusters and supplies while building strong lasting relationships.
• Determine and monitor repair progress and costs along with the cause and extent of each claim while ensuring quoted costs are being adhered to.
• Manage relationships between repairers and insurers throughout the process while ensuring the policy holder is kept up to date on all progress or setbacks.
• Effectively manage any setbacks throughout the process ensuring where possible that there are no further delays incurred.
• Ensure the production of high quality and accurate written reports and record keeping.

• Proven experience in a Property Claims, Property Repair Co-Ordinator or Builders Warranty Claims role.
• Knowledge of building warranty claims would be advantageous.
• Experience, knowledge and understanding of insurance property claims.
• Ability to understand, manage and interpret building reports, scope of works and estimates/costs of repairs.
• Effective communication (written and verbal), negotiation, conflict resolution and decision- making skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
• Ability to interpret complex information and relay in laymans terms to customers.
