About the role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC / Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Great Northern Air Conditioning and Mechanical Services in Darwin, Northern Territory. This is a full-time role, where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

What youll be doing

  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration systems

  • Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC and refrigeration equipment

  • Install new air conditioning and refrigeration units

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on the optimal operation of their systems

  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed

  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health and safety standards

What were looking for

  • Formal qualifications in HVAC or Refrigeration, such as a Certificate III or equivalent including valid ARC

  • Proven experience as a HVAC/Refrigeration Technician, ideally in a commercial or industrial setting

  • Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including installation, maintenance and repair

  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills

  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide expert advice

  • A valid drivers licence / White Card / Working with Children Clearance (or ability to obtain)
