Primary objective To provide high-level advice and lead the delivery of critical systems and technological solutions to support the strategic and operational needs of the agency, ensuring IT solutions align with organisational goals by managing and optimising systems, processes, and data to drive productivity and efficiency. Key duties and responsibilities 1. Contributes to the development of the organisations Information Management and Technology strategy, ensuring that business systems align with long-term business objectives. 2. System Management and Configuration: Maintain and configure business applications to meet operational needs, ensuring alignment with departmental workflows. 3. Data Management: Oversees the management of data within systems, ensuring its accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for informed decision-making. 4. Work with stakeholders to improve workflows, identify automation opportunities, and enhance system usability and administer user access within established security protocols and ensure compliance with data governance policies. 5. Understanding Business Needs: Actively collaborates with business leaders, vendors and stakeholders to understand their requirements, challenges, and goals, translating them into IT system specifications. 6. User Support and Training: Provide first-line support to department and other NT agency personnel, troubleshooting issues and guiding users on systems functionality. Selection criteria Essential 1. Significant knowledge of information systems including current and developing trends regarding digital platforms, content management systems and web security within and Emergency Management Environment 2. Ability to undertake research and analysis in the context of identifying appropriate technological and digital communication advancements for potential use in emergency information management and advice. 3. Experience with ICT based procurement and the ability to manage contractual arrangements with service providers to negotiate and manage complex project components. 4. Proven capacity to communicate complex matters confidently in a clear, concise and articulate manner and ability to effectively negotiate with a range of stakeholders. 5. Strong strategic, analytical and research skills with the ability to apply these in a variety of contexts to achieve sustainable outcomes. 6. Confidence and ability to work under pressure supporting incident management teams while handling conflicting priorities to deliver quality outcomes. Desirable 1. Previous experience with incident management and GIS systems, public safety, emergency response, or law enforcement settings. 2.
