Whyalla Feedlot?

Youll be working at Whyalla Beef, one of Australias largest and technically innovative feedlots. With a current capacity of 75,000 head. Located in the Southern Downs, 25km northwest of Texas on the Queensland / New South Wales border. The town of Texas is perched on the banks of the picturesque Dumaresq River.

What is the opportunity? 

  • Inducting, drafting, moving and dispatching cattle

  • Assisting with the daily care of livestock

  • Ensure cattle are handled using low stress livestock handling principles

  • Administer animal treatments

What experience are we looking for? 

  • Willingness to learn

  • Strong work ethic and good communication skills

  • A team player

  • Previous cattle handling experience advantageous
