About the teamThe Business Grants Hub Division (BGH) manages the design and delivery of grant programs on behalf of 11 Commonwealth agencies, including our own department, overseeing over $7b in government investment in Australian businesses.

What you will doReporting to a Manager, you will undertake complex work under broad direction to facilitate the production of high-quality outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- leading and managing a team that may be geographically dispersed, including establishing expectations, scheduling and reviewing work, providing clear and consistent communications and developing capability.
- assessing and managing risk, including escalating issues that may affect delivery, resourcing or timelines.
- keeping senior staff informed and providing strategic advice and solutions based on good judgment and an understanding of priorities.
- using several internal systems and tools including grants and customer relationship management, ensuring input of quality information and data.
- contribute to building a positive and productive workplace culture.
Program Design and Delivery teams
- lead and support the development, delivery and/or management of public-facing government programs according to legislative requirements, guidelines, performance standards and governance frameworks.
- communicate and engage regularly with funded organisations and stakeholders including businesses, industry groups and other government agencies.
- monitor program delivery to ensure compliance with grant agreements.
- lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the on-boarding of both internal and external grant programs and services onto the Business Grants Management System (BGM).
- develop and implement project workplans that provide strategic direction for the team including the management and allocation of resourcing.
- build and maintain positive working relationships with delivery partners, technical experts and stakeholders across the division, department and government.
- lead and contribute to strategic policy projects, including providing advice relating to grants policy across government.
- conduct research, produce papers and briefs, and coordinate responses to departmental and external requests.
- develop and refine policy inputs for grant opportunity guidelines, collaborating closely with program delivery and BGH design teams.
- lead, develop and support program review activities in consultation with industry, government and academia.
- create impactful program analytics and strategic communications for both internal and external stakeholders.
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
