SHIFTS AS BELOW: Tuesday, 5 August 2025 0700-1900 Wednesday, 6 August 2025 0700-1900 Thursday, 7 August 2025 0700-1900 Friday, 8 August 2025 0700-1900 Accommodation provided and travel up to $800 reimbursed (flights or mileage only). 2nd on call for emergencies only. Surgical assist may be required in the event of emergency surgery. Narrabri District Health Service is searching for experienced GP ED VMOs to provide exceptional care in this vibrant rural community. With a 28-bed inpatient unit that includes Obstetrics, a busy Emergency Department managing 12-25 presentations daily, and an Operating Theatre, youll enjoy a diverse and rewarding clinical experience. Shifts run for 12 hours, either 0700-1900 or 1900-0700, depending on GP availability (Supported by the local GP when available) and whether the theatre is in use. Locums are also required to be available for second on-call during the opposite 12-hour shift, but this will only apply if critically needed. Emergency surgical assistance may also be required. On-call is included in the flat rate, with no additional payments. Nestled in the scenic Northwest Slopes region, Narrabri offers a charming blend of country hospitality and outdoor adventure. Explore Mount Kaputar National Park, unwind at the famous Sawn Rocks, or enjoy a weekend trip to Tamworth, Moree or Inverell.
