About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Central Coast Automotive Pty Ltd as an Automotive Workshop Controller. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop and ensuring the smooth running of the business. Based in Tuggerah, NSW, this is a crucial position that will have a direct impact on the companys success.

What youll be doing

  • Ensure all workshop activities comply with safety and quality standards

  • Allocate work to technicians and monitor workflow to meet agreed vehicle handover times

  • Quality control of workmanship, holding technicians accountable

  • Overseeing the maintenance and repair of vehicles to the highest standards

  • Provide technical assistance on complex faults and repairs

  • Supervising and mentoring the workshop team, including technicians and apprentices

  • Customer interaction and road-testing

  • Create a positive workplace environment

  • Supervise and mentor apprentices

  • Support service advisors with clear reports and answer technical questions

  • Experience as a workshop controller in a Dealership

  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures

  • Proven leadership and people management experience

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Relevant qualifications in automotive technology

  • Valid Australian drivers licence required for vehicle road testing and movement
