IT Business Analyst Specialist

About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for a I.T Business Analyst Specialist to join our IT Project Delivery team on a fixed term basis for 2 years. We are looking for someone with extensive experience and subject matter expertise in Business Analysis. The role will be central to the delivery of priority IT and digital initiatives which enable and support Councils IT and business strategies. You will engage and collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand, define and elicit business requirements, often involving technical systems and applications. This role will utilise your expertise in business analysis to gather, analyse and deliver requirements and functional solutions. We are a team of passionate IT project delivery professionals who care about delivering technical solutions for a wide range of business opportunities including Pathway. You will be part of a great team culture where we support each other to succeed.

This is a full-time temporary role based at our Civic Centre in Wantirna South. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 7 classified role, remuneration will $110,732.77 - $124,189.64 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will bring to this role  

The key selection criteria for this role are:

• Demonstrated business analysis experience across a multi-functional business.
• Exceptional verbal and writing skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into business language, and presentation experience.
• Proven ability to elicit, document, and analyse business requirements using a variety of elicitation and modelling techniques including interviews, workshops, process/journey mapping and use cases.
• High level of analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify possible solutions to address business and operational requirements.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications for technical teams.
