About the role

These roles are providing complex disability and nursing supports to a Participant who reside at Baringa on the Sunshine Coast. This is a 24/7 Supported Independent Living environment.

Successful applicants will have experience with NDIS High Intensity Support requirements, including complex bowel care, enteral feeding support, dysphagia, suctioning, epilepsy and seizure support, manual handling (including hoisting) and personal care assistance.

About you

• Its essential that you have a great sense of humour and enjoy creating meaningful, fun experiences for the participants you support.
• You have experience with all NDIS High Intensity support requirements as mentioned above.

The ideal candidate will have;

• Experience supporting individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.
• Proven skills in complex bowel care, enteral feeding support, dysphagia, suctioning, epilepsy and seizure support, manual handling (including hoisting) and personal care assistance.
• A passion for empowering individuals and fostering independence.
• Strong leadership qualities, mentorship skills, and a collaborative spirit.

Relevant probity items required

• Positive Notice Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Check, or the ability to obtain the latter.
• Positive Notice - Blue Card
• Qualified Enrolled Nurse.
• Membership of AHPRA.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Reliable smartphone with data
• Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You.
